The Refinery
Located in Greenville, North Carolina, the Metallix Refinery is an 85,000-square-foot, ISO 9001:2000-certified facility that sits on 15 acres of land. Our refinery was built in 2004.
At Metallix we are proud of our state-of-the-art refinery, which we designed from an environmental, health and safety standpoint. This means that the health and safety of our employees and visitors is protected at all times. Additionally, we continually work to improve our processes and invest in new environmental controls, such as air pollution control and air handling equipment.
Prior to purchasing the site, we completed an in-depth Phase 1 and Phase 2 environmental investigation of the property. This extensive evaluation ensures that our employees and the environment are properly protected, and that our suppliers’ liability is limited.
Suppliers who would like to learn more about the industrial history of our location, and our environmental, health and safety processes and procedures, can request to review The Big Book. The Big Book is an internally maintained document that addresses the questions and concerns many suppliers have when considering working with a precious metals recycler. We are happy to share this information upon your request.
